What titanium abutments does DESS offer?

DESS manufacturers different titanium abutments for cement retained crowns and screw retained. All of our straight and angled abutments (15 and 25 degree) have the Select Grip surface on them, a 2mm straight collar, and the final screw. All of our titanium abutments are prep-able.

The straight ti bases include a screw and wax up sleeve, while the AngleBases include a screw and the angled wax up sleeves are sold separately. These abutments are a final titanium abutment that a zirconia screw retained crown can be cemented/bonded/luted onto. Labs can also make a PFM crown and cement it to the ti base.

What UCLA Gold Adapt abutments does DESS manufacture?

DESS USA offers UCLA Gold castable abutments for select systems and platforms. We offer engaging and non-engaging and they all come with a screw.

They are manufactured by Cendres & Métaux SA. utilizing the Ceramicor® material that is regarded as one of the best in the industry and is made of Gold (60%), Palladium (20%), Platinum (19%) and Iridium (1%).

What type of all plastic abutments does DESS manufacture?

DESS USA offers both engaging and non-engaging all plastic abutments for all the compatible implant systems we support.

They are made of POM (polyoxymethylene copolymer) and 100% burnout. We sell individual abutments that come with screws for $25 each or 10 packs of abutments that don't come with screws for $90. (Screws also sold in 10 packs at $90).

What is the difference between Straumann® tissue level on implant versus on abutment?

One of Straumann® Tissue Level/ Synocta restorative options is their 1.5 abutment, which is the equivalent of a multiunit abutment. DESS makes their own version called a converter abutment.

For cases where these abutments will be utilized, you would choose the Straumann® Tissue Level components "on abutment" to be placed on top of these converter abutments. For cases that components will fit into or onto the Straumann® Tissue level implant then you would choose those components that are "on implant".

What components does DESS offer that are compatible with Locator® ?

DESS manufactures the DESS LOC abutments and retention kits that are compatible with the Locator® system. Abutments have different collar height options and come with a screw. Retention kits come in either a 20 degree divergence (Ref # - DLRK) or a 40 degree divergence (Ref # - DLER). We also offer a select few packs of colored inserts - white, aqua, lemon, rose, ruby, and emerald. (Ref # - DLN_). They can be utilized with Locator® and Kerator® overdenture abutments.

Does DESS have any components compatible with Dentis?

DESS makes several components compatible with Dentis® implants.

Dentis® Internal Octagon is compatible with DESS Octagon (Straumann® Tissue level compatible).

Dentis® External is compatible with DESS External Hex Universal (Branemark® compatible).

Dentis® Submerged is compatible with DESS Internal Hex Conic (Astra® Aqua/Lilac compatible)but you need to use the original Dentis® screw since it is shorter than the one we provide.

What External Hex compatible components does DESS manufacture?

DESS manufactures restorative implant components compatible with Nobel Branemark®, 3i Osseotite® - External Hex, and BioHorizons® - External Hex.

There are multiple external hex implant systems that are compatible with our external hex components. Please contact us regarding the specific implant system and we can assist you in determining if we have a cross compatible solution.

How to identify the External Hex implant system?

Ideally the patient record will have this information and if not, then an x-ray may assist us in determining the type of implant. Another way is to measure three areas at the top of the implant.
