DESS® Cover Screws for Active Hex Implant The DESS® Cover Screws for Active Hex are available in both narrow and wide versions, depending on the implant platform. They are components that cover the implant platform and prevent tissue overgrowth during the healing phase of the implant.
Before the healing phase, the cover screw can be easily accessed and removed with only a small incision. This minimally invasive procedure helps to support bone maintenance. The threaded portion of the cover screw fits inside the thread of the implant, while the head of the cover screw covers the top surface of the implant. Cover Screws are anodized and color-coded to match the implant platform for easy recognition, as well as designed for UG screwdrivers.
