Episode 1: Mastering the Scan

The series opened with Medit, who demonstrated how their scanning technology pairs seamlessly with DESS® Scan Bodies to produce highly accurate intraoral scans across 25+ implant systems. Darin Lockaby, DESS® US President, highlighted the DESS® Scan Body product line and explained how these components enable precise data capture and compatibility throughout the digital workflow.

The session also covered how accurate data acquisition forms the foundation of a predictable digital workflow, with live troubleshooting tips and demonstrations that addressed real-world scanning challenges.

Episode 2: From Download to Design

Exocad took center stage in Episode 2, highlighting how their software integrates with FDA-cleared DESS® libraries to simplify the digital design process. Ki Kim, DESS® Technical Support Manager, explained how to download and install the libraries for precise restorative planning. Ben Laroche, Exocad Application Support Engineer, then demonstrated efficient design techniques for screw-retained restorations, including advanced angulated screw channel workflows.

This session showed how combining Exocad’s design tools with DESS® components creates a smooth, standardized planning process that saves time and improves accuracy.

Episode 3: CAM + Milling Streamlined

Episode 3 featured Axsys Dental Solutions, showcasing how their Versamill® 5-axis milling machines integrate seamlessly with DESS® Premilled blanks to deliver precise, high-quality restorations. Episode 4: Final Bonding Perfected

The final episode featured VITA, showcasing their expertise in restorative materials with a focus on VITA YZ zirconia. Jim McGuire highlighted the properties and restorative benefits of VITA YZ zirconia, emphasizing its strength, translucency, and seamless integration into digital workflows to achieve precise fit and long-term restorative success.

Wendy Clark, DESS® KOL, then closed out the series by bringing the entire PnP Workflow together. She reinforced how DESS® components and FDA-cleared protocols support predictable bonding and delivery, completing the six-step digital process with consistency and confidence.
